The Node team would like to congratulate our Senior Urban Designer, Alex Folliss for being selected as a new panelist for The Design Review Panel, an independent, multi-disciplinary, expert review panel that provides advice to applicants and local authorities on design issues in relation to important new development schemes across the country.
As set out within the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), the Design Review Panel’s feedback is a material consideration for local authorities when determining planning applications.
The Panel provides impartial expert advice to both applicants and local authorities on design issues in relation to new development schemes and proposals for key public spaces, including both significant minor applications, major planning applications and pre-application development proposals. Alex will be offering expert advice on achieving urban design quality in new development.
