It’s been another busy year at Node HQ. 2019 was a particularly strong year for our landscape service. Inspired by some major project wins including landscape design for the new University Station, we bolstered our landscape team, adding Mila and Kika to provide greater depth in our landscape design and LVIA functions.

On the urban design side, we undertook a number of town and city centre masterplans, together with a broad range of housing projects at every scale. Our major long-term project at Branston Locks also took exciting steps forward towards delivery, with us providing a design advocate role on behalf of our client, a master developer, in negotiations with plot developers and the local authority.

Our heritage team has also been very busy, undertaking an exciting brewery complex design project in Burton and guiding design development and undertaking heritage, townscape and visual impact assessments in sensitive locations such as Tunbridge Wells and Windsor.

Some of our team’s personal highlights included celebrating Uma becoming a chartered landscape architect (CMLI) in June, Nigel celebrating the big 5-0 on an incredible trip to Japan, the team conquering the Three Peaks challenge (and raising £1500 for the Alzheimer’s Society in the process) and Katie becoming chair of the Matrix Housing Partnership. Alex and Katie were also over the moon to see Villa restored to their rightful place in the top flight of English football after a thrilling playoff final victory!

A busy and exciting year all round! Bring on 2020…we will have more exciting news to announce very soon!
